Have a new house inspected

SHOULD YOU HAVE A NEW HOME INSPECTED?

Make no mistake, even if it is covered by a residential construction guarantee, an inspection before moving in is strongly recommended. It would also be preferable to also be accompanied by a building professional, other than your contractor, during this important purchasing stage.

The primary purpose of the pre-receipt inspection is to examine the systems and components of the building to detect apparent defects, as well as major construction defects, while indicating to your contractor the elements to be corrected before the transfer of the building. Although there is a warranty plan for new residential buildings, it may not apply to your situation.
